I cannot BELIEVE this is happening... AGAIN. Ugh. Seriously. I'm getting too friggin' old for this crap. And now EVERYONE has to hear about it, ad nauseam.
But if you want in on the fun, my favorite band ever in the history of the past couple of years are playing two shows in Chicago, in May. And this time, I WILL make meaningful eye contact with you, Neil Finn. Even if it means security will have words with me.
Chicago…here I come, baby.

Rock on baby... This is your mission! We are here to support you! Make your kids proud and have fun!

I almost feel like crying because there is no way I can go. Orpheum doesn't require 8+ hours of driving, with three kids 7 and under... and who would watch my baby while we went? And no, can't leave her behind since she is nursing still. And May- two weddings, so I think I will be busy anyhow. BUMMER.
TAKE YOUR CAMERA THIS TIME!!! Seriously, a 50mm lens is small, right? It will fit in a unsuspecting felted bag, right?
I'm so jealous I can hardly see straight. You come back and tell me all about it. Lucky girl. Lucky, lucky girl.
And we watched the DVD the other night. I don't think my other message posted right. He's so dang funny. God, Devil... Dogs? I laughed so hard. My friend's dog is also epileptic and neurotic.
And I pointed out Krista to Monte, and he thought I was insane, like I know every CH fan out there, and we have our own little cult or something. I guess we have something like that going on, lol!!

I'm probably way behind the times but here's a little trivia for you - did you know that Neil Finn worked with the Dixie Chicks on a song or two. My favorite is called Silent House - reminds me of scrapbooking and making and remembering family connections .... so cool! And, I hope you enjoy the concert.

The Vic is a great place to see a show (or two!) too!
Now if John Mayer would just release his dates, maybe I would be able to hook up with you before a show ;)

Ok I live in a Chicago suburb and I really appreciate you keeping me updated on the Crowded House goings on. So do you want to come and stay in my guest bedroom or what? I am the one who got engaged to a Crowded House song on the Chgo. Lakefront so it's all good. LMK, seriously, you can come over. Sue B.

I'll see you there on Sunday. Thanks for the tip!
But if you want meaningful eye contact, you need to change brands. And I think you know what I mean. Mine gives good eye. And good hand. And he smells really, really good.

Thanks alot Cathy! I just spent the rest of my iTunes $$ buying up Neil Finn songs! You bloggers are just a bunch of enablers!

I still think it would be so much more fun if you had been able to come to the NYC shows with me... but since that didn't work (as we've discussed at length), this is the next-best thing, right? I am so excited I got tickets to all three NYC shows. I am such a dork. 40 years old and a complete and total dork. Now we just have to pray for a hair cut and I know you know what I mean. Here's to meaningful glances aplenty for you!!!!

Hi! Your banner image is beautiful.
I found my way to your blog thanks to my news and blog alerts for Neil Finn and Crowded House. I felt inspired by your posting to write these well wishes from a kindred spirit/fellow fan. I TOTALLY understand your excitement...
I'm in Vancouver so there's no concert for us this time round. But I have no doubt that CH will be back in North America later in the year, after their summer festival tour in Europe. There WILL be more cities, more chances for meaningful glances, and more amazing nights of gorgeous music, and opportunities to meet and greet the band.
Have an AMAZING time at the concerts! I look forward to reading your reviews!
Cheers,
Susan

Did you know that Neil is currently touring NZ with Split Enz.
http://www.frenz.com/splitenz/
Split Enz was originally his brother, Tim Finn's band and then Neil joined. Tim was also a member of Crowded House for a while.
You need to check out their music

Who knew I'd find other Neil Finn fans in the scrapbooking world???
I have been in love with him for 20+ years!
Sadly, they are not coming to Seattle this go round. :( I've never missed a show here! Liam is coming though in May - YEAH!
