Thanks for this. I sent it to all my fontaholic friends (yes, I'm ashamed to admit that I have a few of these), as well as my friends/relatives in publishing.

Dude- that was awesome. My fave font (IRL) is Century Gothic and she was perfect for it. And I think Broadway used to be a local comic?

Absolutely hilarious. My ex and I always teased each other about being font geeks. Yeah, we'd have competitions at recognizing fonts. He'd always win because, well, it was part of his job. :) Thanks for sharing.
Posted by: Cristina | July 24, 2008 at 02:31 PM
This is so funny! I went to a marketing conference recently and one of the bullet points in a website presentation was: Comic Sans is not funny!
Ha Ha!!!

oooohhhh too funny! Thanks for sharing. I began my divorced-with-three-kids-and-no-job-experience 'real work' career, with a job at a Mackintosh service bureau - in the early 90s. Didn't even know how to turn the damn thing on. (The Mac I eventually fell in love with) One of my jobs? Speck type. The owner was a font-aholic and owned billions. I wish he was still with us, he would so appreciate that video.

Thanks for sharing this on your blog. This is hilarious. I am an admitted font-aholic and to see these fonts brought to life - well, its hysterical. And they look exactly how I pictured them... Broadway and Dingbats were too much fun. Kudos to the brilliant twisted minds that created this video!

I'll never use a font again without thinking of "who" it is! Sorry to say that I still use Microsoft Works on my desktop. Dark ages, I know! The type conference TypeCon2008 was in Buffalo this past weekend, but with CHA, I couldn't go. I found out that the owners of P22 type Foundry live right here in town. Cool!

So funny! And who thinks it's funny? Only those who have ever used a computer for scrapbooking. I can't imagine my husband even understanding what's going on and he's a computer genius.
