A blast from the past
Saturday saw my last CKC Show for 2008. Ah, the end of the travel and teaching for this year. During my lovely one-hour Connect with Cathy class, I shared stories about why I scrapbook and how I find my inspiration. I also talked a bit about what it's like to live with a boob grabber, and how I plan to scare the kids on the bus who make fun of my son for getting hugs from his mother in the morning. Of course, you had to PAY for those stories people.
But one of the stories I tell (while I was talking about how much I love to scrapbook because of stories) is the story of going to New Zealand and Australia in 2006 with my comrades Ali and Donna.
While there, we recorded a brief but wholly ridiculous audio message to post simultaneously on our blogs. A little audio post card, if you will, recapping our illustrious adventures for our gentle blog readers.
Unfortunately, there were three things that went wrong: 1. open bottles of wine at the outset; 2. my Muttley-like voice and laugh; and 3. Ali wouldn't talk.
For those of you who took the class and would like to hear that magical recording, here it is, in all it's under 5 minute glory. For those of you who don't want to hear it, I urge you to to click away. And for those of you who had to endure it once already, Godspeed to you as you go about your day and I'm so sorry for your lost time in 2006.
For everyone else, it's 4:28 of your life you will not get back. You have been warned.

Ohmigod, you're a riot. Thanks for the morning giggles.

I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely love your blog- you make me laugh! I, also, live with a boob grabber so I can relate!

What has amazed me is that the trip was in 2006 and I remember listening to that podcast which seems just like last year ago.

I remember that from Ali's blog the first time around... SO FUNNY. That's actually how I discovered you in the first place. I think all of us wanted to just transport ourselves to that room and enjoy the fun along with you. :)

Sorry to bother you... but I admire your scrapbooking pages more than anyothers I've seen. I am a rooky to digital scrapbooking and was wondering what software would be good to use? I have a mac and someone recommended me the program aperture 2???? I am kinda stuck and don't want to invest in something that wouldn't work for digital scrapbooking. Could you guide me toward something??? Thank you

Love it! I have to admit that I was disappointed by the lack of a "cheers," a "sweet as," or even a "tin" or "sivin," though... :)
