5. I think this is such an awesome idea, a month ago i moved to a new city for grad school which will be done in may, so doing this project would be great to see what changes by next october! p.s. i moved from minneapolis, so i love reading your blog to keep up on the minneapolis/st.paul latest and greatest!— Gayle

A'ight ladeez, email me your mailing address at czdesign@comcast.net and I'll get your album in the mail so you can give yourself the present!
So my sweet friend Stacy Julian, scrapbook visionary and inspiring little phenom that she is, is staging a cool blog blitz today, and baby, I'm in! Want to hear about it?
Well okay then... long story short: Stacy wants people to use scrapbooking as a way to live more fully in the present; in your life; in the moment of all this amazing stuff that makes up our existence.
Stacy believes that we scrapbookers spend a lot of time creating from stuff that has already happened, that sometimes, we forget to be here in the now. So she's got a fun challenge to share and I'm more than happy to both participate, and pass it on to you:
The Challenge
1. Take 10 photos of your life right now... today... no ands, ifs or buts. Grab that camera and document. All day today.
2. Compile these photos into a tiny little mini album.
3. Keep or carry this album with you (in a desk drawer, where you scrapbook or in your purse) for one year.
4. Promise to glance at it every time you stumble upon it or pull it from your purse.
5. On October 1, 2009, you will make a scrapbook page about this experience, but I can't tell you exactly what that page will be about. You'll have to check back with Stacy in one year for the final piece of the puzzle.
So that, blog readers, is a way to give yourself the Present. Want to see mine?
So what I did, was shoot some from the same day, and fill in with shots that represented my life right now. Cool huh?
So you have been challenged! And to help some of you get started, I have 10 Bazzill Mono Mini albums to send out to get you started. Leave your name in the comments, and I'll draw 10 winners tonight at around 9 p.m. CST.
Here's to the Present.
Happy October 1st, y'all.

I love your photos. AND what a wonderful way to present them. TO YOURSELF EVERYDAY for a year. I want one. I'm in.

Cathy, you and Stacy are goddesses. Anyway, on the total off chance that I win one of these (adorable, by the way) albums I'll have to give my chance to some one else since we've moved to Dubai in the Middle East. (So my photos are a-gonna be cool, but shipping is atrocious!)
Thanks from a Pacific NW girl at heart!

Posted by: Kathleen | October 01, 2008 at 06:57 AM
What a great idea i love it.
The thing I most focused on in your album is that someone in your household is reading the Twilight saga, which just happens to be my obsession at the moment. When I'm into something I'm REALLY into it and I'm really into Twilight right now. Mmmmm wonder what I will be obsessing over by this time next year. Something for me to think about.
cheers

What a cute idea! You ladies are so darned clever!
Would love to win a mini.... feeling kind of lucky today. (Maybe should buy a lottery ticket.... although, need to make a resolution to actually CHECK the ticket instead of drive by the gas station to see that no one won it yet so, I don't bother checking... BAD HABIT! Think I have a whole stack of them to check... silly me!)
Excited for class to start. Wish I wasn't so darned busy this weekend.... it is our wedding weekend. Might have to fall behind on homework for a few days right off the bat.
