So last week saw the debut, and also the close, of Coleman's dramatic, one-act play: The Aliens Are Eating Our Cornflakes.
I was there for the premier and I have to say, can someone say TONY AWARD? (Wait, does there have to be singing for a Tony?)
The plot goes something like this: Aliens develop an affinity for cornflakes, and come to Earth to steal them, and milk, from a kindly farmer. What the aliens don't realize however, is that cornflakes are lethal to their kind, causing them to melt and die.
Just have to point out that my friend Lisa made their costumes, and her daughter (the other alien) and Coleman made the big silver spaceship you see in the first shot.
All in all, it was totally cool. My kid is brilliant. And the whole cast was superb.
And what's even more impressive? Those kids aren't blurred out; that, my friends, is the work of one hell of a make up artist.
