My father-in-law's Australian Shepherd had a little suprise for him a few weeks back. Unbeknownst to him, Mayte (prounounced "May-tee") done got herself knocked up with the frisky lab from a few farms over.
Yes, I know. She should have been spayed, but that's not always how men who live on farms in Southern Minnesota think.
Mama Mayte is around 40 pounds and she lives a life that most Australian Shepherds would love. She chases farm animals and llamas and ducks and chickens all day long.
There are 7 pups. All male. As I said above, they think the baby daddy is a lab from a few farms over.
They're cute little suckers. But then again, show me a puppy that isn't.
They're four weeks old and I told him he can't unload any of them until they hit 8 weeks. They need time with their mama.
If anyone is interested, and lives in that general vicinity, they will be reasonably priced and need a good home. You can email me at czdesign@comcast.net for more info.
I call this one The Buddha.
Oh, puppies! You slay me.
